I have no idea whatsoever what he is talking about. I have cubase 12 and Kontakt but what is this guy doing? I just want to build templates. And what the bloody hell is a ple and opus? Never heard of them. After watching this guy my advice is to leave templates alone. Strictly for the know-alls and a thousand ways to go wrong in too many steps. He took ages to set up whatever he was doing so its obviously crap.

The first time I used the 'flatten chain' function in the arranger track I noticed that I got shared copies. It reminded me of the old 'ghost part' option to save memory from my Atari days. It made sense as to why it would do this when extracting arranger sections, but It took me ages to find out how to remove the behaviour to edit each track afterwards. I could have done with this video at the time six years ago! Incidentally, I see those symbols as 'equal signs', but your description of 'hamburgers' is more apt, given that it can a meal out of a simple task 🤣

This technique is superb if I had seen it before I might have done it differently For my part I completely deleted the subfolders to have greater visibility and avoid this staircase effect which takes up a lot of space I created a very large quantity of PLEs to access all my tracks but I use a touch screen with the 14bitMIDI Sherlock plugin But in any case very good work the PLEs and macros allow you to do a lot of things

Addtional Note: For the PLE command that Opens the main folders, you could also add a name filter (last in the list) Name > Contains > Paramat 1 (type your symbol)

In Cubase 13, this was moved to the menus: Transport menu > Start Mode: <Start from Project Cursor Position> > Return to Start Position on Stop Should be handier there, once you find it, and there are a few other options. Hope this helps.

Mr. PoundSound... The part of you explain are simple common scene instructions that most people that have done any recording on a DAW. The issue I've had is that the only DAW that I've used and one instantly hear the guitar by simply plugin in the cable, pay and immediately here the effects along have been Logic. Cubase nor Studio One I've been able to hear the effects 'til they have been recorded already. I was expecting you to start from scratch, not to mess around with the options of sounds. Thanks anyway for the general tips.

As a Cubase 12 newbie i would like to mention that when you have recorded something on your electric guitar, and your monitor button is on when playing back your recordings, you wont be able to hear your recording ( i learned the hard way ) :)

Hello Marcus, great video, very interested on the template. I'd like to ask you one thing about it. You explained very well about de send FX but I still have one thing to ask. I noticed that you work with two kinds of subgroups, one to gather all the articulation from a particular instrument (trompet eg.) and another for the ensemble stem (brass). Do you send to FX channel the individual articulations tracks, or do you send to reverb the particlar instrument (trumpets) subgroup and then send to the ensemble stem soubgroup (brass) or do you send the soubgroup stem Brass to the FX? Hope I made my self clear :) Thanks!

Hi - this is a great tip I didn't realize I needed. Could I ask you something? I was pulled in here because of your use of the Shift + Alt combo. I thought Shift + Alt was used while clicking in the arrangement window to place the cursor, which is something I am desperately trying to accomplish. The problem is when I press Alt I start drawing events instead.

Does any know if there is a 3rd party plugin that does this?

After updating to Cubase Pro 13, the track icons at the very beginning are displayed in black. This is not normal and apparently cannot be changed in the settings. In all tutorials, the track symbols are also displayed in white. Does anyone know why this happens?
